0.4kg of layered washable wool in an Ava Innes canvas bag.

Our layered wool filing is suitable for adding to our zipped pillows to increase the height or for use in any home sewing projects.

Our additional wool filling is presented in an Ava Innes canvas bag that can easily be recycled or reused for a number of purposes.

Our wool is sheared from the Cheviot breed of sheep living on farms in Scotland. The fleece travels to Bradford to the Wool Marketing Board where it is sorted, graded and baled. Staying in Yorkshire the fibre is cleaned and we use this wonderful wool in our pillows with a little added to our duvets too.

Small pieces of dried vegetation can be found in the wool.

This filing for our pillows has achieved BS 5852: Part 2: 1982 of the Furniture & Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988.

Filled with:

100% Scottish Wool

Wool filling weight (approximately):

0.5kg

How to clean:

Can be washed with care or dry cleaned. The pillow will flatten over time.

British Wool certified, the wool we use travels under 200 miles from farms in the Scottish Borders to the family-run mill where our duvets are lovingly made and finished by hand, encased in certified organic cotton.

We are the first to value the properties of cashmere guard hair, saving this precious natural fibre from by-product status.

Every detail of the manufacturing process is considered. The sways of the curves echo the meandering rivers of Scotland, representing our commitment to sustainable practices and ways of making rooted in nature.

Once you've had the best life out of your Ava Innes product, you can safely allow it to decompose in your compost heap without worrying about microfibres or pollution.

Ava Innes is currently seeking B-Corp status.

What Our Customers Say

A little piece of cashmere magic. There actually is no comparison. It feels light as a feather but cosy and snug at the same time, and it has totally regulated my night time overheating!

I like a warm duvet but my husband detests being hot at night, so I expected him to hate it. To our surprise we both found that the duvet suited us – I was very warm and toasty and my husband was just right.
