Tog: 8-11, year-round
Cashmere isn't just for your wardrobe; it offers a luxurious experience in bedding too. Ava Innes pairs the precious fibres with British wool for superb temperature control and a comforting weighted feel that 92 per cent of people said helped them sleep better - and now, you can add my thumbs up to the pile.
Despite a weighted experience, the duvet feels incredibly lightweight out of the box and while the cover sounds suspiciously crinkly, it is made of 100 per cent cotton, aiding airflow and breathability.
I haven't needed my usual breathing techniques since sleeping under this snuggly cover - I'm off in the land of nod in a few minutes. As the seasons change, I can't see any need to switch to a lighter summer duvet either; the Ava Innes duvet performs well all year round.
Now, it is more expensive than most, but given the traditional craftsmanship, sustainable use of cashmere goat fibres (mostly discarded by the luxury industry), and easy maintenance (machine wash, dry clean, or simply air out of the window), this may be the last duvet you will ever need.
